MWC/CUSA Merger: 2 divisions or 4 pods?

The Mountain West Conference and Conference USA Presidents will be meeting this Sunday according to this report from Dennis Dodd.

In October, the MWC and CUSA announced a football-only merger. 2 months later, the Big East expanded to 10 and added 5 C-USA/MWC schools in the process.

One question about the alliance remains though: Will it consist of 2 divisions or 4 pods?

Here are some example of the 2 systems:

2 Division System

East Division

Marshall
East Carolina
UAB
Southern Miss
Memphis
Tulane
Rice
Tulsa

West Division

UTEP
New Mexico
Nevada
Colorado State
Air Force
Wyoming
UNLV
Hawaii
Fresno State

4 Pod System

Pod 1

Fresno State
Wyoming
Colorado State
Nevada
Hawaii

Pod 2

New Mexico
UTEP
Air Force
UNLV

Pod 3

Tulsa
Memphis
Tulane
Rice

Pod 4

UAB
Southern Miss
ECU
Marshall

These pods and divisions could change as C-USA and MWC could possibly expand soon. Some of the rumored expansion candidates for the alliance between these 2 conferences are Utah State, San Jose State, Florida International, and Temple.
